THE WEB

The other day I was driving my van and on the windshield was a spider, well as I watch this spider I realized that it was holding on for dear life. I wondered how fast I would half to drive before it would turn lose and fly off. I got up to 65 mph and the spider was still able to hang on. Humm! How was that spider hanging on. THEN I slowed down a little I noticed a small string hooked to the spider thats when I realized that the spider had woven a stickie string that would hold him in place. When I got to a stop light he ran under my wiper where he would be safe.I began to think on this,I love church and the preachers, but just like that spider they weave a webb around the people in their church, claiming that they care about the people. Somehow this don't prove out, when they do something for someone in the church they exspect a payback. This is not what the word tells us. James 2:2-7. The preachers seem to weave a web that people can not escape from. The spider weaves a web to catch bugs that holds them in place so it can't escape. Many preachers do the same thing. We are to love the way Jesus did. The string thats to hold us is the string of love that come from God. Not what someone can do for us and then how we can pay them back.James2:8 love one another. Remember the spider, the sticky string was only used till he could get to safety. The preacher, preaches so we can get the word, then we can get to safety,:their not to weave a web around us. Paul told Timothy preach the word 2 Tim. Thats your job preachers points us in the right way, the bug will strugle to it last breath to get free from the web, that's what's done to us. Our job is to live right and love God. Not struggle to break free next time you preach remember the spider.
