WHEN OBEDIENCE DON'T MAKE SCENE

[GENESIS-22:2 Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac - and offer him for a burnt offering] Have you ever said, "thy will be done" but his will just did not make sense. This was not the only time GOD told someone to do something that did not make sense. Gideon, Joshua, Moses, Samson, David, Elijah (the list goes on and on) were people that GOD put in situations, and places when obedience did not make sense. And at one point or another we have all been there. And we can see how it worked out when they obeyed. What did you do when you were faced with that? Did you obey? Did you complain? Did you question God? It may be okay to doubt at the time, Gideon did, but he DID obey. He never intended not to obey but he just needed to know it was God, so he asked for a signs. If we just reject what God tells us, that's when find ourselves in trouble like King Saul. There are other examples of those who refused to obey because the situation did not make sense to their understanding. I'm not saying that you can never ask God "why", becuase some of the heroes of faith asked God that very question. But if you do ask, just know in your mind and in your heart that whenever his answer, you will still OBEY.
