THE WEAK THINGS

1 Corinthians 1:27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty ; .... I was thinking abour Bro. Charley Wiccliff the other day, he was a great man of God. He wasn't great because he knew so much ,infact he couldn't even read his own name,he couldn't count money . His step father was very mean to him: all because Bro. Charley wanted to live for God. He was made fun of by the church people, and by his own preacher; when Bro. Charley told the preacher he was called to preach, the pastor said, well I think your called to go plow. That didn't stop him he didn't stop praying or beleiving God ,he waited till he got his chance and than he proved he was called to preach the word of God. He was never rich, never had a house,a wife, never owned a car,; He walked from one town to the next preaching revivels. he saw many souls saved . When He walked in to your church the chidern and adults alike feared him , becase when he spoke things happened , people got healed, folks were warned about the judgements of God . He was kicked out of one church group because he couldn't read . He was a weak sickly man when I met him . But he had the spirit of God in his life , God was in his every thought. The very LIFE he lived confounded the church world around him. How could such a unlearned ,penniless , homeless man have such power with God. I'll tell you look at 1 Corinthians 1:26-28 God did it for him, from the day he got the Holy Ghost till the day he died he confounded the wise and the learned .He proved this truth in his everyday life.
