Water-Water every where
Here in Sebastian county we have the Arkansas River, and over 100 lakes and ponds, we have had over 22 inches of rain this year. But in the paper today it says we are in a drought. WOW! Water water everywhere and not a drop to drink. I put in a blog on 6/10/2011 about the number of churches (over a 1000) and the number of church members (over 40,000) in the Fort Smith area and there is a spiritual drought. How is it that we can have so much of something and still not have enough? Here in Sebastian County we average over 70 inches of rain a year. How much spiritual rain do we average, and how much below that average are we? Sebastian County can't control how much rain it gets, but we can control how much spiritual rain we get. So why are we in a spiritual drought? Joel 2: 28-32 says "And it we come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh". There is no scripture that tells us that it has to stop, so, there is no reason for us to be in this drought. There is plenty of water to be had it's just a matter of us praying till we get the rain we need.
